I've never read any of those, or even read books by any of those authors XD Actually, tell a lie, I read the first two Warriors books by Erin Hunter, but then couldn't find the rest at my local library.

BUT. My suggestion, which I will suggest to everyone until I keel over and die, is the almighty Prowlers, by Christoper Golden! There are four volumnes, titled, in order; Prowlers, Laws of Nature, Predator and Prey, and Wild Things. I have a hardback book that contains all of them in one, and it's highly reccomended. I didn't think it would be my sort of book, but I've reread it over and over and never stopped loving it.

Here's a section from the preface, which was written by the author, to give you a taste of the book!

Quote:
"The theme that began to echo around my mind was the wonderfully horrific idea that the people you pass in the street, or the person who delivers your mail, or the one sleeping next to you in bed at night, might not be what you believe them to be. They might be monsters. That's a part of nearly every vampire story, and it's creepy, sure. But I wanted to go further than that. Vampires and werewolves, traditionally, are monsters who used to be human. Whatever they've become now, there's a level upon which we can still relate to them.

But what if they were never human to begin with? Aren't they that much more monstrous? What if the person lying in bed with you at night isn't a person at all, but a beast masquerading in human form?

And what if they were everywhere?"

Oooh, Blood and Chocolate is one of my favorites. Its not really about werewolves, just werewolf-type-things. Its really original.

And do read the Warriors series by Erin Hunter, or some of her other stuff? I personally just got finished with the first series and am reading book one in The New Prophecy. Have you read the Redwall series? I have all of them... I think. I might be missing a few. If I was to suggest anything it would probably be either Crank by Ellen Hopkins (That book gets a little intense though) or The Yearling by Marjorie Rawlings.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

OMGosh, well since you have her name down, I'm sure you've read Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer? OMGOSH, AHHH, if you havn't I strongly suggest you read those, lol. Meep, this summer I got to go to Forks WA and to places where the book took place. ^_^_^_^

Anyways, a realllllllly good one that I also strongly suggest is called Fire Bringer, kay? Same author as who wrote Sight, which I also strongly suggest. ^_^ Fire Bringer is about deer, which is why I joined this site, I'm intrigued by deer now. And where I got Rannoch as my name.

Let's seeeeeeee, Tamora Pierce? Which of hers have you read??? I'm reading Trickster's choice right now, I've read Wild Magic and the sequals to that, the Alanna Series are deh bomb.

Anyways- sorry to drop that on you- but those are may favourite books! MEEP!

I could real off a whole list for you lol xD

Kinneh, you have be intrigued about those books now o.o; I might just have to add them to my to-buy list.

My favourite books (at the moment) are a series called The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness by Michelle Paver. It's about a boy named Torak, of the Wolf Clan, who befriends a pup simply named Wolf. He's taken prisoner by the Raven Clan after he's accused of stealing a roe deer, and soon becomes part of a prophecy to kill a demon bear who has been threatening all of the clans. It's not as cheesy a prophecy as some of the Erin Hunter ones are though, and it definitely improves in the later books. ^^

xD Yays!!
~opens up the B&N window~
Everytime I go to Barnes and Noble, I have to set a money limit for myself and I'll write down the names of books I find interesting, and there were these ones the last time... A series of dragon-type books, I think, called Iceheart and Fireheart or something with ice and fire <<; Anyone heard of it?
--
Mags: I am most definitely interested in the Prowlers series... Just looking at all the entries under the author's name is making me drool to buy everything xD Barnes and Noble says the first two books aren't in stock, so I'll prolly wind up going to Amazon or buying used copies.

Natsuma: Yeps, I've read the first and second series of books by her. Some of the books I can really get into, but sometimes the plots seem a bit predictable. Still, I think the idea in itself is very unique, and that's probably why I keep reading them x3 I haven't read the Redwall series, but I have been seriously debating it. My thing is I tend to go through my books so fast, and if I haven't bought the whole series at once and I run out in the middle, I go crazy and can't wait and drive an hour into Huntsville to buy them <<; The Yearling is a fantastic book, but it's like Where the Red Fern Grows -- I cry every single time ;-; Aaand I just added Crank to my cart ;3

Rannoch: Holy biscuits, YES. Those books toy with my heart so badly... I drove to the nearest bookstore the day Eclipse was released and finished it by that night. You just can't put them down -- they're THAT addictive. And I'm usually not a fan of first person tense, but she pulled it off amazingly. The characters are so real, and you start to feel the same way they feel. It's genius x3
I've read all of the Tortall series of books by Tamora Pierce. Wild Magic, Lady Knight, Protector of the Small, and Tricksters. Last Christmas I got the first in the Provost's Dog series, Terrier. It's another first-person view that I've fallen in love with. Tamora Pierce and Stephenie Meyer are, without doubt, my all-time favorite authors.

Brocken: That sounds awesome. Reading the description it rather reminded me of something from Erin Hunter or Jane Lindskold (whose Firekeeper series is amazing. Girl raised by wolves, could be a lost heir to an ancient throne, so she must be trained from feral childhood to be a princess). Anywho, the books are in my cart now. xD

YES. WE MUST ALL BE ADDICTED TO PROWLERS. BUYBUYBUY AND LOVELOVELOVE! :]]]

I've just started buying the Warriors series, as I only ever read the first book XD I ordered the first two from WHSmiths earlier today cause they're doing a big 3 for 2 offer on every book in store, and I have money to burn. Huzzah!

Also I agree with Rannoch (Haha), Firebringer is uber superduper<3 You'd all love it.

My humble suggestions?

Two werewolf trilogies:

Alice Borchardt; Night of the Wolf, Silver Wolf, The Wolf King

Kelley Armstrong; Bitten, Stolen, Broken

Warning! There's a little 'adult content' in both book series... however NOTHING akin to the adult content in Laurel K. Hamilton's latest books. >>;;;;;;; And her 'Vampire Hunter' series started out SOOOooooo good, too!!

Jane Lindskold's series is in my to-buy list xD I'm very unsure about them considering I read the first couple of pages and nothing struck me that made me want to buy straight away, but I am definitely still gonna try it anywho. Maybe just get it our of the library or something before buying x3

Yeah, the first chapter or so really doesn't do justice to the rest of the book, because once you get past introductions and histories, it's hard to put down.

Trinluffjesus: xD I hate when good stories get ruined by smut. That's what porn mags are for, damnit. I can stand light content, but not a narrative about the whole process << Yeesh.
